Background: Leila Thomas always had a temper. A failure from the rigorous training program of the Sisters of the White Flame, Leila Thomas became an embittered mercenary supervillain. She despises Manna and the two have often battled.

Leila's vocal cords were damaged in a training accident, rendering her mute.

Powers: Black Orchid has mystical control over her chi, or life force, and can use it to perform various feats of stealth and invisibility. She also has superhuman agility.
