Crucible:Atlantis

Atlantis was a thriving island kingdom in the North Atlantic, just outside the Straits of Gibraltar. Around 8000 B.C. the entire island sank to the bottom of the ocean in a tectonic catastrophe that destroyed Atlantean civilization. There are indications that that earthquake was magical in origin.

The ruins of Atlantis were discovered early in modern times and have been a fruitful archaeological site. 

There were several actual survivors of the sinking of Atlantis, preserved into modern times by magical means: the wizard Garth, and the last ruler of the Atlantean kingdom, Tyrann.
