Real Name: Crane Barker

Background: Crane Barker grew up in the mean streets of Hell's Kitchen in New York. As a young bellhop, he swore to be as rich one day as the swells he served. He got his chance when his talent for the main chance was noticed by an aging crimelord, and the old man put Barker to work as a numbers runner. Before too long, Crane had taken over the old man's rackets completely.

Barker was ambushed by a rival for power, and his face was horribly mutilated and then raggedly sewn back together by amateurs. He eventually took dreadful revenge on his attackers, and thereafter wore his jigsaw-puzzle face as a badge of honor, taking a name that became the most feared of all the gang lords of Golden Age New York: Jigsaw!

He often came into conflict with heroes like the Prowler and the Silhouette.

Status: Deceased

Skills: Jigsaw was a master criminal, who ran the mobs in New York for decades. He was a criminal genius who was a model for later mobsters like Petro.

Technology: Jigsaw liked to leave the shooting to his thugs and underlings and rarely carried weapons. He did like brass knuckles.
