Real Name: Sir Cain of Darkwood

Background: Defeated in battle by the ancient Templars, the medieval knight Sir Cain made a deal with a wizard to help him conquer his foes. He was granted eternal life and superhuman strength, but continued to age, becoming a twisted, horrid creature, hiding his face from mortals under his armored mask. As the Black Paladin he terrorized the medieval world. After his defeat at the hands of a group of heroes, he lay dormant for many centuries deep in catacombs under his ancient castle. Learning of the new Templar in San Francisco, he sought out the modern knight to settle old scores.

Cain later joined with other villains in the villain team called the Plunderers.

Status: Cain was last seen during the Silver Age in Unity City.

Powers: Cain was superhumanly strong, fast, and durable.

Skills: Cain was an expert with medieval weaponry, a skilled horseman, and could quickly learn new languages.
