Real Name: Heather Maxx

Background: Heather Maxx was a career criminal with a long record going back to her early youth. Through hard work, she became a martial arts expert. In one of her heists, police shot at her and the bullet was stopped by a deck of cards she carried in her jacket pocket. The round had pierced the ace of spades card. In recognition of her luck, Heather adopted this as her nom de crime. Later, she was recruited by Arctique for the Blackhearts.

Group Affiliation: The Blackhearts

Powers: Ace of Spades appears to have a low-level power of psychic luck. She sometimes miraculously manages to avoid the worst consequences.

Skills: Ace of Spades is a dangerously skilled martial artist, also skilled at stealth and infiltration. She fancies herself an expert with cards, as well.

Technology: Ace of Spades has made use of a variety of weapons, including razor-edged playing cards, blades, and fighting staffs.
