Crucible:Emperor Maximus
Real Name: Professor Junius Guildenstern
Background: Junius Guildenstern was a mild-mannered professor of ancient history at Pinnacle University. Suffering a blow to the head, his personality changed and he became convinced that he was the reincarnation of an ancient Roman Emperor. When he is Maximus, the gentle professor becomes a cruel and sadistic villain, prone to committing Roman-themed crimes all across Unity City. The Unity League has dealt with him on several occasions. in most cases barely escaping with their lives.
Guildenstern usually returns to his normal identity. either when receiving another blow to the head or when he receives psychiatric treatment.
Powers: None.
Skills: Guildenstern has an encyclopedic knowledge of Roman and ancient history. As the Emperor Maximus, his genius is twisted and he also excels in twisted Machiavellian plans, as well as deadly traps and devices.
Allies: Maximus has recruited a group of goons he calls his Roman Legion. He equips them with body armor and weapons to carry out his twisted plans.
He also has a moll, a former beauty queen and conniver, who calls herself Empress Calpurnia.
He occasionally throws his enemies into a makeshift arena to fight his robotic gladiators.
