Real Name: Galahad "Gally" Francis Xavier O'Boyle, Junior

Background: Mrs. O'Boyle's son, Galahad, was the toughest gumshoe on the San Francisco beat, and the most skeptical... until he got mixed up with demons, dragons, and all the other weirdness that that crazy town could throw at him. But he faced it all with a cool head and a no-nonsense attitude. His rough code of chivalry was his only weakness. During the Golden Age, he often worked as an ally and information source for the Midnight Men in their battles against occult menaces. O'Boyle originally discovered the young Matinee after he lost his memory.

After World War II, O'Boyle joined the fledgling PHASE II organization. He headed up field offices in Unity City (working with the Unity League) and New York, and eventually became chief of East Coast operations, supervising the Pearl and the Griffin.

Status: Deceased.

Skills: O'Boyle was a formidable hand to hand combatant and a crack shot. He appears to have served in World War I, where he learned soldiering, but he never talked about those days.

Creator: Ed Messina

First Appearance: THE MIDNIGHT MEN #1
