The Traveller
The Alpha Legion were the greatest heroes of an alternate earth called Terra Ultima. Their ranks included:
- Tempest (Wenden Polle): a superhuman with almost godlike abilities.
- Seraph (!Larakaylarlilaka!): an alien from a distant world in Terra Ultima's galaxy.
- CounterStrike (Nia Maldon): a martial artist with superhuman skills.
- The Traveller (Dr. Enki Kuruppa): a mysterious occultist with psionic powers.
The Legion fought many battles against the threats of their world, but were powerless to stop the destruction of their planet by mysterious forces. In orbit at the time that Terra Ultima collapsed into a black hole, they were hurled through a tear in the dimensions, and emerged on this Earth.
At first, they attempted to work side by side with the heroes of their new home, but grew frustrated by what they felt was the inaction of many superheroes to prevent the kind of destruction they had witnessed in the world they used to protect. Their all-out war on villains led to a struggle against Watchstar and other heroes called the Alpha Invasion, which resulted in the near-destruction of Washington, DC.
Chastened and humbled by the experience, the Legion fled Earth through another dimensional portal to find a new home where they could live in peace.
