Real Name: Lynn Stephens

Background: Lynn Stephens was a parahuman, a so-called mutant. She found out in her early teens that she could sometimes overhear other people's thoughts and perform other mental tricks. At first she used her powers for amusement,

but word got out that she was special. Hunted by HAVOC for her genetic material, one dark night she was forced to defend herself and her family using her powers. She realized that she could use her powers to do more than simply amuse. She could make a difference in the world. She took the name Spectra. She was soon recruited by Titan for the first Guardians team.

Spectra later was brainwashed into being a supervillain by SKULL, under the name Mindbender, but recovered with Moonstar's help. After marrying him, she retired to raise their children.

Known Relatives: Stephen Allston, husband

Powers: Spectra had the ability to control light waves, making herself or others invisible, to create "solid light" holograms, and pass through solid objects in energy form.

Skills: Stephens was a talented visual artist who invented a new art form utilizing her solid light sculptures. These are still exhibited in museums worldwide.
