Background: Aelira Kaelith is a legendary space warrior from the ranks of the fabled Starflyers, an elite order of cosmic defenders within the Karnak Empire. The Starflyers are a rare subset of beings gifted with the ability to fly unaided through the void of space, their bodies adapted to withstand the crushing pressures, freezing temperatures, and radiation of the cosmos. Aelira’s talents emerged in her youth on the crystalline planet of Velthea, where the Starflyers are said to be chosen by the “Celestial Stream,” a mysterious force that infuses them with their powers. It is on Velthea where the Starflyers receive the implanted green gem that grants them their abilities.

Aelira’s unmatched speed, agility, and mastery of energy manipulation earned her the name Nova, a title reserved for the brightest and fiercest of the Starflyers. Her energy bursts, which mimic the explosive brilliance of a dying star, make her a devastating force in battle. Nova rose to fame when she single-handedly defended a Karnak colony from an armada, igniting her legend across the Empire.

Now, as a member of the elite Imperial Guard, Nova roams the galaxy, a living comet of justice and hope. Fiercely loyal to the Karnak Empire, she defends its people with unmatched valor, embodying the unity and strength of the empire’s ideals while carrying the boundless freedom of the stars.
