Watchstar West was formed after the Watchstar team went through a period of rapid growth and added several new members. Cobra, Kodiak, Jade and the Silver Spectre were sent to Los Angeles and created a new base in the old Stellar Studios movie lot. As the team grew, so did their renown, and soon they were a major West Coast super-team.

Watchstar West had many adventures before losing their Watchstar affiliation during the invasion of Isola. Many of the members stayed on as the team morphed into Sierra Force. The team's affiliation was eventually restored and they now are an important part of Watchstar tradition.
