Crucible:Desperadoes
They thought of themselves as badass supervillains, but no one else did. The Desperadoes were a gang ominor f supervillai:ns C-listers, third-string villains who were more dangerous to themselves than anyone else. The reason they were thought of this way is because that's what they were. They couldn't get any respect from other villains...so they banded together to earn some.
The team's most famous caper was when they inadvertently helped Surge and SHOC defeat an alien invasion. Disguised as tourists, they were trying to rob an ocean liner on which Surge was honeymooning with his wife, but the aliens were also trying to rob the liner in order to steal it away to their own museum. What a mess!

The Desperadoes comprised:
- Trickshot (Crenshaw Mellon): A former circus sharpshooter with pretensions.
- VARIAN-7: A former butler robot with aspirations.
- Mr. Frost (Sydney Harris): A former janitor with humiliations.
- Knockout (Sheila Pugnatowski): A former foxy boxer with augmentations.
- Yama (Kenoshi Heyatsu): A former sumo wrestler with appetitions.
The Desperadoes were also derisively known to other villain groups as the "Legion of Losers." They were eventually captured by Kodiak and Jade and have attempted to re-form from time to time (but always without Knockout, who refuses to have anything to do with them).
