Blood is the violent and unstable clone counterpart of Kodiak, created by Clone Master as part of a series of engineered superhuman warriors. Though physically similar to his “brother,” Blood’s flawed creation left him emotionally unrestrained and dangerously unpredictable.
Origin
[edit]Storm O’Ryan was grown as a clone of Kodiak, one of several attempts by Clone Master to perfect the concept of a superhuman combat organism. While Kodiak developed independence and restraint, Blood emerged from the same process with a critical flaw.
Something went wrong during gestation.
Where Kodiak developed a sense of identity and control, Blood developed none. He lacks empathy, restraint, or any meaningful attachment to others, existing instead in a state of constant aggression and resentment.
To Blood, Kodiak is not a brother. He is a mistake that should not exist.
Conflict With Kodiak
[edit]From the moment he became active, Blood’s existence has been defined by his opposition to Kodiak. The two share nearly identical physical capabilities, but their approaches could not be more different.
Kodiak represents control.
Blood represents release.
Their confrontations are brutal and personal, driven as much by psychological conflict as by physical force. Blood’s hatred is fueled by a perception that Kodiak was given something he was denied—purpose, acceptance, and identity.
The Bad News
[edit]Blood eventually aligned himself with the Bad News, a group whose chaotic and destructive tendencies matched his own. Within the team, he serves as a frontline enforcer, valued for his raw power and willingness to escalate violence without hesitation.
He does not lead. He breaks things.

He is not incapable of thought, but his thinking is focused narrowly on dominance, destruction, and personal satisfaction. His relationship with Kodiak adds a layer of fixation that borders on obsession.
Where Kodiak seeks to define himself beyond his origins, Blood embraces them.

Legacy
[edit]Blood stands as a dark reflection of what Kodiak might have become—a version stripped of restraint and guided only by power. His existence highlights the fragility of identity in artificially created beings and the consequences of failure in that process.
He is not a fallen hero. He was never meant to be one.
