Real Name: Lane Karnstein

Background: Lane Karnstein was born a parahuman. On his 12th birthday, after the best party he had ever known, his powers manifested themselves, and he caught fire. So did his home and family and most of the small midwestern town he lived in. Lane was fine but hundreds died, including his entire family. The SIA took the young orphan into their care, and realizing his immense potential as a weapon, taught him to channel and control his powers. He was an apt pupil, and the government gave him a real life instead of the rootless wandering one he feared. He took the name Quasar.

Later, when the NEST was formed, he was recruited for the team.

Group Affiliation: The Corsairs

Powers: Quasar can produce and control plasmoid energy, which can generate enormous temperatures. He is a living nuclear reactor.

Skills: Quasar loves to drive and is skilled at operating vehicles.
