== Background ==

Jeb Sutherland’s path into heroism began not with intention, but with exposure. While serving as a U.S. soldier, he came into contact with mutagenic chemicals dumped into a local river, substances that altered his physiology in ways that were both immediately visible and profoundly transformative. His skin took on a constant glow, a side effect that proved difficult to conceal, but the deeper changes were far more significant: enhanced strength, endurance, and agility that placed him well beyond normal human limits.

Rather than becoming a liability, he became an opportunity.
