== Decline And Legacy ==

The Cavaliers gradually came to an end following a series of personal tragedies and life changes among its members. [[Crucible:Titan|Titan]] eventually succumbed to a long-term illness, depriving the team of its founder and central figure. Around the same period, [[Crucible:Captain Comet|Captain Comet]] suffered critical injuries during a mission from which he never fully recovered.

Meanwhile, [[Crucible:Moonstar|Moonstar]] and [[Crucible:Spectra|Spectra]] left active superheroics after marrying and starting a family.

Without its core membership intact, the Cavaliers officially disbanded. Despite this, the team remains one of the defining superhero organizations of the Bronze Age and helped establish Los Angeles as one of the great superhero cities of Earth-11717.

Many later West Coast heroes cite the Cavaliers as a major inspiration.
