== Enemies ==

Petro’s long reign brought him into conflict with many of New York’s crimefighters, especially [[Crucible:Shadow|Shadow]] and [[Crucible:Gunslinger|Gunslinger]]. His crimes also scarred the lives of several heroes personally.

Petro was responsible for the death of [[Crucible:Shadow|Shadow]]’s mentor, the Duke, an act that helped turn Shadow into one of his most relentless enemies. He was also responsible for the deaths of [[Crucible:Manhunter|Manhunter]]’s sister and brother-in-law, placing him among the most hated figures in Manhunter’s personal history.

His relationship with his daughter, [[Crucible:Maverick|Maverick]], also collapsed over time. Though born into Petro’s world, Maverick ultimately became estranged from him, adding another personal failure to a life otherwise defined by power and control.
