== Origin ==

Chopper’s transformation was pure accident—and pure magic.

During one of the many catastrophic magical clashes between [[Crucible:Arcana|Arcana]] and [[Crucible:Brimstone|Brimstone]], uncontrolled mystical energies spilled into the surrounding environment. The surge struck a stray dog roaming the streets of New York.

That dog was Chopper.

The energies reshaped him completely, granting him:
* Human-level intelligence  
* A humanoid body  
* The ability to speak and reason  

Confused and injured, Chopper was discovered by [[Crucible:Omen|Omen]], Arcana’s daughter, who took him in and helped him recover.

It was the first real home he had ever known.

== A New Life ==
