Chopper is the vigilante identity of Chopper T. Doberman, a once-stray dog transformed by wild magical energies into a humanoid being with human-level intelligence.
Street-smart, loyal, and fiercely protective, Chopper patrols the streets of New York City, fighting crime with instinct, speed, and a bite that criminals quickly learn to fear.
Origin
[edit]Chopper’s transformation was pure accident—and pure magic.
During one of the many catastrophic magical clashes between Arcana and Brimstone, uncontrolled mystical energies spilled into the surrounding environment. The surge struck a stray dog roaming the streets of New York.
That dog was Chopper.
The energies reshaped him completely, granting him:
- Human-level intelligence
- A humanoid body
- The ability to speak and reason
Confused and injured, Chopper was discovered by Omen, Arcana’s daughter, who took him in and helped him recover.
It was the first real home he had ever known.
A New Life
[edit]Chopper adapted quickly to his new existence.
He learned language. He made friends. He discovered what it meant to belong.
And he decided he liked it.
Though he retained many instincts and thought patterns from his life as a dog, Chopper embraced his new form and the opportunities it gave him. With a clearer understanding of the world—and its dangers—he made a simple choice:
He would protect it.
