Real Name: Howard Phillips Lovecraft
Background: The greatest monster-hunter of his time, Howard Phillips Lovecraft faced down an entire pantheon of monstrous entities preparing to take over the world. He battled secret cults, sleeping gods, and otherworldly menaces, using only his intellect and courage. He wrote about his exploits in thinly-disguised works of 'fiction'. Although reluctant to leave his beloved Rhode Island, he did join the Midnight Men in San Francisco for a short time.

Skills: In addition to being a sorcerer of some repute, Lovecraft was a student of history, theology, and the occult. He was well-versed in ancient languages. He was also a best-selling author.
