Real Name: Lachlan "Murph" Murphy

Background: Australian bush pilot Lachlan Murphy got more than he bargained for when he stumbled across a secret scientific base on a remote Indonesian island. Taken captive, he was subjected to horrific experiments and injected with biological extracts from local wildlife. The scientists were looking for a way to combine human DNA with reptilian DNA to produce super-soldiers. At first, Murphy was transformed into a raging reptilian beast, but slowly, as the weeks went by, his humanity reasserted itself. He was able to escape in his new form, and he located the authorities, who shut down the base and imprisoned all of his captors. In the arrest, all of their data was destroyed, including any antidote to reverse the effects of their experiments. Murphy, trapped in his new permanent superhuman form, took the name Komodo and joined the fight against injustice as a superhero. He has been a PHASE II operative on the Pacific Rim for some time, occasionally working with other PHASE II assets like Rebel.

Powers: Komodo is superhumanly strong and tough. He has an almost supernatural sense of danger.

Skills: Before his transformation, Murphy was a bush pilot and explorer, skilled at survival in the wilderness, and he has retained those skills in his Komodo form.
