Real Name: Marion Weathers

Background: Marion Weathers loved fires. He loved watching them. He loved feeling the heat on his face. But most of all, he loved starting them. 

As a child, he burned down his family's farm, then moved on to the neighbors' farms. He needed to see things burn. He was institutionalized for his obsession for a time, and later he broke out, but not before setting fire to the institution and staying to watch it burn and kill dozens inside.

Studying the chemistry of fires, he invented a weapon that would allow him to burn things down whenever he wanted. He adopted the identity of Blowtorch and went to live his dream.

At one point, he appeared to been killed by the vigilante Peacemaker, but he recovered by unknown means.

He's never been in it for the money. He's in it for love.

Group Affiliation: Former member of the Predators; current member of S.W.A.T.

Skills: Weathers is a self-taught chemist and mechanic with advanced knowledge of pyrotechnics and explosives.

Technology: Blowtorch's gun fires a stream of atomized petrochemicals at temperatures of thousands of degrees. He also wears an insulated suit that provides superb protection against heat and flames.
