The X-plorers are a team of teenage scientific adventurers who investigate bizarre phenomena, unexplained mysteries, lost civilizations, and dangerous anomalies throughout the world.

Formed by the children of the world-famous polymath scientist Dr. Inigo Ximenez, the X-plorers became widely known after their father mysteriously vanished during an expedition to South America. Refusing to believe he was dead, the four Ximenez siblings began conducting their own investigations into the strange events surrounding his disappearance. As it happens, each of the children was a prodigy in their field, with a great many tools and skills at their command.

What began as a search for their missing father soon evolved into a continuing series of scientific expeditions and adventures across the globe.

The X-plorers operate from the belief that even the strangest mysteries can ultimately be understood through intelligence, investigation, courage, and rational inquiry. Though their adventures often involve seemingly supernatural events, the team approaches each crisis scientifically, relying on advanced technology, research, and experimentation.

Their investigations have brought them into contact with sacrificial cults, engineered plagues, drug-induced zombie outbreaks, extradimensional entities, psychic phenomena, haunted locations, ancient ruins, humming buildings, and Lovecraftian horrors lurking beyond conventional understanding.

The team maintains strong ties to the Nova Institute, where Dr. Inigo Ximenez frequently collaborated with other scientific visionaries prior to his disappearance. Several faculty members continue to assist the team with research and resources.

Scientific Adventurers

[edit]

Unlike traditional superhero teams, the X-plorers rarely engage in straightforward battles against costumed criminals. Their adventures instead focus on mysteries, investigations, dangerous discoveries, and the collision between science and the unknown.

The team has become particularly popular among younger audiences due to its emphasis on intelligence, curiosity, and problem-solving rather than brute force.

Though skeptics occasionally dismiss them as privileged thrill-seekers, the X-plorers have repeatedly prevented catastrophes that conventional authorities failed even to recognize.

The Mystery Of Dr. Xander

[edit]

The disappearance of Dr. Inigo Ximenez remains the central unresolved mystery in the team’s history.

Evidence uncovered by the X-plorers suggests his final expedition may have uncovered something far stranger and more dangerous than a simple archaeological discovery. Numerous clues point toward hidden organizations, forgotten civilizations, and forces operating beyond accepted scientific understanding.

The search for their father continues to drive the team’s adventures.
