Mr. Friendly is a mysterious infernal assassin whose appearances stretch back through human history for thousands of years. Depicted in occult manuscripts, forbidden woodcuts, demonological texts, and ancient religious warnings, Mr. Friendly appears in remarkably consistent form across multiple civilizations, always associated with murder, temptation, and supernatural bargains.

Whether he is truly immortal, a demon wearing human flesh, or something even stranger remains unknown.

Most occult scholars agree on only one thing:

where Mr. Friendly appears, death usually follows.

Historical Presence

References to a smiling horned gunman resembling Mr. Friendly appear in occult literature dating back millennia. Ancient tablets, medieval grimoires, Renaissance demonological sketches, and modern paranormal case files all describe a nearly identical figure:

a charming man with inhuman features, supernatural resilience, and a fondness for violence.

Curiously, the details evolve with the era.

In ancient accounts, Mr. Friendly appears carrying blades, bows, or primitive firearms ahead of their historical invention. By the modern age, he most commonly appears wielding twin pistols and dressed with unsettling elegance.

Some occult historians believe the entity deliberately reshapes its appearance to remain culturally recognizable to humanity.

Others suspect humanity simply keeps rediscovering the same nightmare.

Nature Of The Entity

Mr. Friendly appears to be some form of hybrid between human and demon, though even experienced mystics debate the specifics endlessly.

The Kindly Ones

Occult researchers eventually uncovered the truth that Mr. Friendly is not a unique being, but one member of a bizarre infernal breed known collectively as the Kindly Ones.

The name is deeply ironic.

The Kindly Ones are supernatural assassins and retrieval agents who attempt to disguise themselves among humanity through the use of absurdly reassuring aliases and stiff approximations of normal human behavior. Unfortunately, their understanding of ordinary social interaction is catastrophically poor.

There are believed to be many more.

The Kindly Ones choose these names because they believe such words make them sound harmless and approachable to humans. Instead, the effect is usually unnerving almost immediately. Witnesses consistently describe the experience of meeting one as feeling “wrong” in subtle but overwhelming ways.

Part of the problem is that the Kindly Ones almost never display genuine emotion.

They do not smile.

They do not laugh.

They rarely blink.

Their speech patterns are unnaturally formal, polite, and carefully rehearsed, as though they learned human interaction entirely from observation rather than experience. Many investigators have compared them to extraterrestrials or malfunctioning androids trying unsuccessfully to impersonate people.

This only becomes more disturbing once the violence starts.

Infernal Operatives

Unlike chaotic demons driven by rage or temptation, the Kindly Ones operate with frightening discipline and focus. They function as executioners, hunters, messengers, and retrieval agents for powerful infernal entities whose identities remain largely unknown.

Once assigned a target, a Kindly One pursues it with machine-like persistence.

They do not taunt unnecessarily.

They do not lose their tempers.

And they do not stop.

Several occult investigators have compared them to “demonic terminators” — relentless supernatural predators wearing badly constructed masks of human civility.

Human Camouflage

The Kindly Ones are fascinated by humanity but fundamentally incapable of properly blending into it. Their attempts at appearing normal often overshoot badly, producing behavior that feels awkward, theatrical, or subtly alien.
