“You call it magic. I call it remembering how the world is supposed to work.”
Garth

Garth of Garthos is an ancient Atlantean sorcerer of immense power, a survivor of the fall of Atlantis and a relic of a far older age of magic. Once a champion of his people and sworn enemy of the Blood Emperor Tyrann, Garth now walks the modern world as both avenger and exile, seeking answers lost to time—and the wife he refuses to believe is gone.

Origin

[edit]

Garth was born in the lost civilization of Atlantis, where he rose to become one of its greatest wizards. In an age when sorcery shaped nations and empires, he mastered the elemental forces of the world, bending earth, fire, air, and water to his will.

During this time, he became the sworn enemy of the Blood Emperor Tyrann, a tyrant whose power and ambition threatened not only Atlantis but the balance of the world itself.

Their conflict ended in catastrophe.

The Fall Of Atlantis

[edit]

When Atlantis sank beneath the waves, Garth survived through the use of powerful protective enchantments. Whether by design or desperation, he placed himself into a state of suspended existence, preserving his life while the world above changed beyond recognition.

For thousands of years, he slept.

When he awakened, Atlantis was gone, its people scattered or dead, and the world unrecognizable.

The Modern World

[edit]

Emerging into the present day, Garth found himself a stranger in a diminished age—one where magic was rare, misunderstood, and often feared. Despite this, his power remained undiminished, and his purpose was unchanged.

He sought vengeance against Tyrann and any remnants of the forces that destroyed his homeland.

During this time, Garth joined Watchstar, lending his immense abilities to the team. His presence proved both valuable and difficult, as his worldview and demeanor often clashed with those around him.

He did not stay long.

The Search For Marina

[edit]

Convinced that his wife, Marina, survived the fall of Atlantis, Garth left Watchstar to pursue her across the modern world. His search has taken him into hidden corners of reality, ancient ruins, and forgotten dimensions.

Whether driven by hope, denial, or knowledge others do not possess, Garth has never abandoned the search.

Powers

[edit]

Garth is one of the most powerful sorcerers known.

  • Elemental Mastery – Command over earth, fire, air, and water
  • Ancient Sorcery – Access to lost Atlantean magical disciplines
  • Longevity – Survival across millennia through magical means
  • Arcane Knowledge – Deep understanding of mystical forces and entities

His magic is both vast and precise, reflecting centuries of mastery.

Skills

[edit]

Beyond raw power, Garth possesses formidable intellectual and personal attributes.

  • Master strategist in magical and supernatural conflicts
  • Scholar of ancient civilizations and arcane lore
  • Skilled at maintaining his own superiority in any conversation

He is also, by most accounts, exceptionally talented at alienating those around him.

Personality

[edit]

Garth of Garthos is arrogant, dismissive, and utterly convinced of his own superiority. To him, this is not arrogance but simple fact. He comes from a time when his abilities placed him among the greatest of his people, and he sees little in the modern world to challenge that assessment.

Despite this, there are moments when something else shows through—loss, loyalty, and a refusal to abandon what he once had.

He does not belong to this age.

And he has no interest in pretending otherwise.

Reputation

[edit]

Among modern heroes, Garth is regarded as both a powerful ally and a difficult presence. His knowledge and abilities are invaluable, but his attitude often makes cooperation challenging. Among mystical circles, however, he is recognized as a figure of immense importance, a living connection to a lost era of magic.

His name still carries weight.

Legacy

[edit]

Garth of Garthos embodies the survival of a lost world. He is not merely a relic, but a continuation of something that was never meant to end. His quest for vengeance and reunion reflects the unfinished business of Atlantis itself.

He walks the present.

But he belongs to the past.
