Captain Comet is the heroic identity of Major Cooper Swift, a pioneering astronaut of the early Space Age transformed by cosmic forces into one of Earth’s fastest and strongest champions.
A living symbol of optimism, exploration, and human potential, Captain Comet embodies the belief that the stars are not beyond our reach—but within it.
Origin
[edit]Cooper Swift was a decorated United States Air Force major and one of the earliest astronauts selected for experimental spaceflight.
During a high-risk mission, his capsule passed through the tail of a strange, radiating comet—an event that should have destroyed the craft.
Instead, it changed him.
The comet’s unknown energies flooded the capsule, altering Swift at a fundamental level. When he returned to Earth, he discovered he had been transformed into something more than human.
Stronger. Faster. Nearly unstoppable.
He had become a living comet.
The Space Age Hero
