Background
[edit]Charlene “Charlie” Brown serves as the secretary of the Unity League, a position she regards as the greatest job in the world. Raised on stories of the League’s adventures and heroism, Charlie grew up idolizing the team long before she ever imagined working at Unity Hall.
Friendly, cheerful, and endlessly patient, Charlie quickly became an indispensable part of the League’s daily operations. Although superheroes battle cosmic threats and mad scientists, somebody still has to answer the phones, organize schedules, route emergency messages, and keep the paperwork from swallowing the headquarters whole. Charlie handles all of it with remarkable efficiency.
She sometimes appears absent-minded or forgetful, but those who work with her know this is mostly part of her charming and slightly scatterbrained personality. In practice, Charlie rarely misses anything important and often remembers details even the heroes themselves have forgotten.
Charlie also harbors a quiet crush on Lightning Lad, though she is far too shy to do much about it. Her attempts to act casual around him usually leave her flustered and tongue-tied, much to the amusement of some of the League’s members.
Skills And Personality
[edit]Charlie is an exceptionally capable administrative assistant. She types at remarkable speed, takes shorthand, manages communications, organizes records, and maintains the endless paperwork required to support one of the world’s foremost superhero teams.
She is warm-hearted, optimistic, and deeply devoted to the ideals of heroism represented by the Unity League.
