Scarletti is the feared mastermind identity of Count Anton Tiberio Scarletti, a disgraced aristocrat, scientific genius, and supreme leader of HAVOC. One of the defining villainous figures of the Silver Age, he transformed personal rejection and wartime opportunism into a global network of terror, espionage, and controlled chaos.
Origin
[edit]Anton Scarletti was born into a declining European noble family whose prestige far exceeded its remaining influence. Brilliant from an early age, he pursued science with obsessive intensity, particularly in areas his peers regarded as dangerous, speculative, or morally questionable.
His fascination with fringe technologies and unconventional theories made him an embarrassment to his family and an outsider within academic circles. Scarletti never forgave the humiliation.
When war engulfed Europe, he found opportunity where others saw catastrophe.
The War Years
[edit]During World War II, Scarletti secretly supplied advanced weapons and scientific expertise to multiple factions, carefully avoiding ideological loyalty in favor of profit, leverage, and influence. Rise Of HAVOC

He seeks instability.
To him, civilization is inherently fragile, held together by systems and assumptions that can be manipulated, corrupted, or shattered. HAVOC serves as both weapon and experiment—a demonstration of how easily order can collapse when pressure is applied correctly.
Scarletti refers to the organization as his masterpiece.
Conflicts With Heroes
