Doctor Renfield Watts is a scientist, superhuman, and member of the Unity League, whose extraordinary intellect and enhanced physiology are the result of experimental evolutionary techniques. A survivor of tragedy and a product of deliberate design, Watts has built a life defined by knowledge, discipline, and a conscious commitment to serve others.
Origin
[edit]Renfield Watts was raised in a secluded World Health Organization–affiliated research retreat located in Equatorial Bugunda. Within that isolated environment, he was subjected to a combination of advanced educational conditioning and experimental evolutionary processes intended to accelerate both mental and physical development.
The result was a being of unusual capability. Watts displayed exceptional intelligence across multiple disciplines while also exhibiting heightened strength, agility, and resilience beyond normal human limits.
The experiment might have remained hidden indefinitely.
It did not.
The HAVOC Attack
[edit]The clandestine organization HAVOC learned of the Bugundan compound and launched a coordinated assault. Their objective was clear: seize the research, eliminate resistance, and exploit whatever they could recover.
Watts’s caretakers acted quickly. To ensure his survival, they sent him into the surrounding jungle with instructions to hide.
He obeyed.
By the time help arrived, it was too late for the others.
Unity League
[edit]Members of the Unity League responded to the distress call and secured the site, but found only devastation. Watts eventually emerged from hiding and made contact, revealing himself as the sole surviving subject.
He was taken to Unity City, where his status as a sentient individual was formally recognized. Granted legal rights and a United Nations passport, Watts began integrating into society.
He enrolled at Pinnacle University, where he completed multiple doctoral degrees in rapid succession. His academic achievements established him as a leading figure in several scientific fields.
Choosing to contribute more directly, he joined the Unity League, offering both his intellect and his physical abilities in service of others.
