“Law, crime—it’s all leverage. I just decided to work for the side that signs the checks.”
Enforcer

Enforcer is the armored identity of Miles Carson, a former military engineer whose career has spanned both sides of the law. Once a criminal operative using his own technology for profit, Carson now leads the Corsairs, the United States government’s official super-team, bringing a pragmatic and often controversial approach to heroism.

Origin

[edit]

Miles Carson began his career as a military engineer, developing advanced systems and gaining a deep understanding of applied technology. At some point after leaving the service, he turned those skills toward a more lucrative direction.

Carson designed and built a powered battlesuit for his own use and entered the criminal world as a high-end enforcer. The role suited him. He was effective, well-equipped, and willing to operate without the constraints that limited others.

He also attracted attention.

Repeated confrontations with superheroes eventually led to his capture and incarceration in a federal facility. His career as a criminal enforcer appeared to be over.

It was not.

Redemption And Recruitment

[edit]

Following his parole, Carson received a full presidential pardon under circumstances that have never been entirely disclosed. Recognizing both his capabilities and his experience, the U.S. government offered him a position few would have expected.

He was asked to lead a national super-team.

Carson accepted.

As Enforcer, he assumed command of the Corsairs, bringing discipline, technical expertise, and a willingness to make difficult decisions. His leadership style reflects his past: results-oriented, flexible, and not always aligned with conventional heroic ideals.

The Corsairs

[edit]

Under Carson’s direction, the Corsairs have become an effective and highly capable unit, often deployed in situations where conventional forces or more idealistic heroes might struggle. He expects competence and delivers it, both from himself and from those under his command.

His past is not ignored, but it is factored into the role he now plays.

Skills

[edit]

Miles Carson’s abilities are grounded in expertise and experience.

  • Expert engineer and technologist
  • Designer and builder of advanced combat systems
  • Tactical thinker with operational experience
  • Leadership of coordinated team actions

He approaches problems as systems to be understood and exploited.

Technology

[edit]

The Enforcer battlesuit is the core of Carson’s effectiveness.

  • Powered armor enhancing strength, durability, and mobility
  • Integrated weapons and defensive systems
  • Advanced targeting and control interfaces
  • Upgraded with Department of Defense technology

Each iteration of the suit reflects Carson’s evolving understanding of both combat and engineering.

Personality

[edit]

Carson is pragmatic, confident, and unapologetic about his past. He does not present himself as reformed in a moral sense; rather, he has chosen a different application for the same qualities that once made him effective as a criminal.

He is willing to cut corners if it achieves the objective.

He is also willing to accept the consequences.

Reputation

[edit]

Among government agencies, Enforcer is valued for his effectiveness and reliability in high-risk operations. Among other heroes, his reputation is more complex. Some see him as proof that redemption is possible; others view him as a dangerous figure operating with official sanction.

Among criminals, he is recognized as someone who understands their methods intimately—and who now uses that knowledge against them.

Legacy

[edit]

Enforcer’s legacy is still being written. His transition from criminal to leader of a national super-team challenges conventional ideas about heroism and accountability.

What is clear is that Miles Carson has not changed what he is.

He has changed who he works for.
