Krang the Conqueror was one of the great galactic warlords of the Silver Age, a brilliant military conqueror whose expanding empire challenged even the mighty Karnak Imperium and S'taa Dominion. Driven by visions of destiny and armed with overwhelming military power, Krang repeatedly sought to conquer Earth, bringing humanity into direct conflict with the wider politics of the galaxy for the first time.
Though ultimately defeated, Krang’s legend endured long after his death.
Rise Of A Conqueror
[edit]Krang originated from a remote and warlike region of the galaxy far beyond the normal sphere of Earth’s awareness during the early Silver Age. Little is known about his early life, though surviving accounts portray him as a military prodigy who united fractured worlds through a combination of prophetic insight, strategic genius, and relentless conquest.
Unlike many galactic tyrants who inherited power through dynastic rule, Krang forged his empire personally through warfare and political domination. Entire systems fell before his fleets, and conquered populations often found themselves absorbed into an enormous military machine dedicated entirely to further expansion.
At its height, the Krang Empire controlled vast territories and rivaled some of the oldest interstellar powers in known space.
Foresight
[edit]Central to Krang’s rise was his mysterious ability to foresee possible futures. Whether this gift was psionic, mystical, or technological remains uncertain, but it gave him extraordinary strategic advantages. The Invasion Of Earth

The invasion shocked Earth’s heroes and governments alike.
Krang’s forces included enormous invasion fleets, elite armored troops, scout warriors, advanced robotic systems, and terrifying super-weapons. Entire cities came under attack as the planet struggled to resist extraterrestrial conquest on a scale humanity had never before faced.
Only an alliance of Earth’s superheroes, including members of the Unity League, managed to repel the invasion.
Krang never accepted the defeat.
Over subsequent years, Krang returned repeatedly to menace Earth with new campaigns, alliances, and schemes. Some invasions relied on brute force, while others attempted manipulation, infiltration, or political destabilization. Each defeat only deepened Krang’s obsession with conquering the planet that had resisted him.
Despite his brutality, Krang was not portrayed as merely savage or irrational. He genuinely believed expansion and conquest were the natural order of civilization, and he viewed Earth’s resistance as both admirable and deeply frustrating.
His wars against Earth became legendary throughout interstellar society.

After his death, the vast empire he built fragmented rapidly under internal conflict and external attack. Without Krang’s personal leadership and foresight, the Imperium could not maintain cohesion.
His body was entombed on the planet Izar in a monumental tomb complex constructed by loyal followers.
To this day, remnants of the old Krang Empire believe their conqueror will one day return to restore their former glory.
Whether this belief is religious devotion, political mythology, or something more ominously literal remains unknown.
Legacy
[edit]Krang the Conqueror became one of the great cosmic villains of the Silver Age, combining space opera spectacle, galactic warfare, and larger-than-life personality into one of the era’s defining antagonists. His invasions helped expand Earth’s awareness of the wider galaxy and established many of the interstellar powers that would dominate later cosmic stories.
Even in defeat, Krang achieved something few conquerors ever manage.
He became immortal in history.
