StrikeTeam: Seattle was the flagship operation and first official StrikeTeam established by CounterForce. Based in Seattle, the team originally consisted of inexperienced young heroes who gradually evolved into seasoned defenders through repeated crises and hard-earned experience.
Over time, StrikeTeam: Seattle became one of CounterForce’s most respected regional teams, confronting threats ranging from supervillains and criminal conspiracies to subterranean invasions and rogue government programs.
Among the team’s most famous early victories was the defeat of the Annelids, a race of worm-like subterranean dwellers that launched a massive assault on the surface world and attempted to collapse the city of Portland, Oregon.
The defining tragedy in the team’s history came during its conflict with Project ACHILLES, a secret government initiative designed to create android super-soldiers. Unknown to the team, their own teammate Force was actually an android infiltrator created by ACHILLES and implanted with false memories in order to spy upon the group from within.
When Force’s true origins were revealed, he was ultimately turned against his teammates. The resulting battle atop Seattle’s Space Needle became legendary within the superhero community. During the confrontation, team members Lodestar and Gauge were killed.
Though devastated by the betrayal and loss, StrikeTeam: Seattle survived and rebuilt itself, continuing to serve as one of CounterForce’s most important field teams.

Samantha Danner is the team’s current leader. Possessing superhuman speed and quick reflexes, Skidz serves as StrikeTeam: Seattle’s field commander and tactical coordinator.
Dark Cloud
Mack Casey is a former criminal who reformed and joined CounterForce. He possesses the ability to become insubstantial and pass through solid matter.
Tremor
Kent Kerby is a mysterious hero connected to a race dwelling deep beneath Earth’s surface. His powers are tied to seismic and subterranean forces.
Sunspot
Molly Kamala possesses immense superhuman strength and durability, serving as the physical backbone of the team.
Nightstalker
Daniel Darke is a mysterious masked vigilante who acts as the team’s intelligence operative and covert investigator.
Legacy
[edit]StrikeTeam: Seattle occupies an important place in the history of CounterForce. As the organization’s original StrikeTeam, it established the operational model later used by CounterForce teams across the country.
The team’s battles against the Annelids and Project ACHILLES remain defining moments in Modern Age superhero history, remembered both for their heroism and for the devastating losses suffered during the fall of Force.
