Khaos is a psychic vampire and former lord of an alien species whose world was conquered by the Hundred Worlds. Driven by hatred and revenge, he willingly joined the interdimensional destroyer known as the Terror and became one of its heralds, the terrible band of raiders known as the Stormriders.

Background

Khaos was once the ruler of a predatory species of psychic vampires, beings who fed not on blood but on mental energy, memory, identity, and emotion. Their civilization was feared across its native universe for its subtle cruelty and parasitic dominion over weaker minds. To Khaos and his people, memory was not merely information. It was food, luxury, art, and conquest.

That world eventually fell before the expanding power of the Hundred Worlds. The conquest broke Khaos’s empire and reduced his people from rulers to hunted remnants. Whether the Hundred Worlds acted to suppress a monstrous civilization or to expand their own dominion depends largely on who tells the story, but Khaos never accepted defeat as anything but humiliation.

When the Terror swept through his universe, Khaos did not resist. He saw in the entity an opportunity for revenge on a scale he could never achieve alone. By serving the Terror, he could strike at the Hundred Worlds, devour their champions, and feast upon civilizations that had once feared his name.

The Stormriders

As one of the Stormriders, Khaos served as hunter, interrogator, and psychic predator. Where others among the Terror’s heralds relied on armies, weapons, or brute supernatural force, Khaos specialized in breaking minds from within. He could strip victims of memory, drain courage and identity, and leave survivors hollowed out long before the Terror itself arrived.

His presence among the Stormriders made them far more dangerous than a simple raiding force. Khaos could harvest strategic secrets, consume emotional bonds, and turn the remembered lives of his victims into nourishment. To him, the memories of heroes were especially exquisite, rich with sacrifice, love, fear, and defiance.

Khaos is elegant, predatory, and profoundly cruel. He does not merely feed on memories; he savors them, discussing personal grief, love, humiliation, and terror with the refined appreciation of a gourmand describing rare wine. This makes him uniquely horrifying, because he treats the most intimate parts of a life as delicacies to be sampled and judged.
