Raptor is the criminal identity of Ethan Pomeroy, a former Andrews International aerospace engineer who transformed himself into a high-flying mercenary supervillain after corporate sabotage destroyed his career. Using a sleek combat exosuit equipped with jet-powered wings, advanced targeting systems, and lethal aerial weaponry, Raptor became one of the modern era’s premier airborne criminals and sabotage specialists.

Fast, precise, and difficult to corner, Raptor treats the skies like personal territory.

And very few opponents can keep up with him there.

Early Career

Ethan Pomeroy was once regarded as one of the more promising aerospace engineers employed by Andrews International. Intelligent, technically gifted, and intensely ambitious, Pomeroy specialized in advanced propulsion systems, maneuverability technologies, and lightweight tactical flight platforms.

Unlike some engineers who preferred laboratories and theory, Ethan also possessed genuine passion for aviation itself. Flying fascinated him almost as much as designing machines capable of it.

Unfortunately, corporate politics fascinated him far less.

Corporate Sabotage

Pomeroy’s career collapsed after internal sabotage and corporate maneuvering destroyed several major projects associated with his work. Whether rivals intentionally framed him or simply exploited failures remains unclear, but the outcome was devastating.

Contracts vanished.

Promotions disappeared.

His professional reputation collapsed almost overnight.

Andrews International distanced itself from him quickly, leaving Pomeroy convinced he had been sacrificed to protect more politically valuable executives and researchers.

The bitterness never faded.

Becoming Raptor

Obsessed with proving both his genius and his superiority to the corporation that discarded him, Pomeroy secretly constructed an advanced aerial combat exosuit based on experimental technologies he had helped design during his career.

The completed suit transformed him into Raptor.

Using his extraordinary aerial mobility and technical expertise, Raptor entered the criminal underworld as a mercenary specializing in:

Raptor became one of the recurring aerial mercenary villains of the modern era and a frequent adversary of heroes such as the Gauntlet. His stories blended corporate intrigue, high-tech aviation, personal betrayal, and sleek supervillain aesthetics into a classic “rogue engineer with flight armor” archetype.
