Domino is the superhero identity of Alessandra “Alex” Altamira, a parahuman whose formidable strength and durability are matched by a sharp, often pessimistic outlook on the world. Once a teenage member of the Supernova Squadron, she has since matured into an independent hero and an informal mentor to a new generation.

Origin

Alessandra Altamira grew up in Pacific City, California, moving through the foster system without any stable sense of home. Intelligent and self-contained, she developed an identity shaped as much by isolation as by independence, gravitating toward goth aesthetics and music that reflected her outlook.

At Nathaniel Nova High School, she formed a close friendship with Tawny Daniels, a connection that would later draw her into a larger world. During this period, Alex began to realize that she possessed abilities beyond normal human limits.

Those abilities would eventually bring her into contact with other young superhumans.

Supernova Squadron

Alex joined the emerging group of teenage heroes known as the Supernova Squadron, where she took on the name Domino. Within the team, her strength and resilience made her a dependable presence in direct confrontations, even as her perspective often contrasted with the more optimistic outlook of her peers.
