Bazooka is the criminal identity of Joseph Paluka, a disgraced former U.S. Army sergeant who turned to mercenary work after stealing a powerful experimental weapon system. Known for his reliance on overwhelming firepower rather than finesse, Bazooka operates as a heavy weapons specialist for S.W.A.T..

Origin

Joseph Paluka served as a sergeant in the United States Army, where he demonstrated competence as a soldier but a consistent disregard for discipline and authority. His military career ended abruptly when he was caught committing grand larceny.

Facing a lengthy sentence in a military stockade, Paluka chose a different path. Using his access and knowledge, he smuggled out an advanced experimental weapon system before disappearing into the civilian world.

Rather than lay low, he immediately began using the weapon to enrich himself through theft, extortion, and mercenary activity.

Rise As A Mercenary
