Culebra is the mercenary identity of Veronica DiVega, a South American tracker, hunter, and gunfighter whose life amid civil wars and cartel violence forged her into one of the most dangerous freelance operatives in the criminal underworld.
Origin
Veronica DiVega grew up in a South American nation ravaged by political instability, guerrilla warfare, and the influence of powerful narcotrafficantes. Violence was not an interruption to ordinary life—it was ordinary life.
From an early age, DiVega learned how to survive in environments where weakness was quickly exploited and trust was often fatal. She became adept at moving through jungles, cities, and conflict zones alike, developing skills as a tracker, scout, and combatant long before she formally entered mercenary work.
Eventually she adopted the name Culebra—“Snake.”
The name suited her reputation: patient, dangerous, and difficult to corner.
Work For Tarantula
Culebra first came to major attention while working for the drug kingpin Tarantula. During operations against his criminal empire by the Strong Persuaders, DiVega repeatedly clashed with the superhero team, proving herself resourceful enough to survive encounters that eliminated less capable operatives.
