Doctor Dominion was the armored scientist and conqueror Perrin Kurz, one of the greatest villains of the alternate world known as Terra Ultima. A genius in advanced weapons technology and nuclear sciences, Kurz became infamous for combining scientific brilliance with ruthless authoritarian ambition. Following the destruction of his native world, he crossed dimensions to Earth alongside the surviving members of the Alpha Legion, becoming a major threat during the Alpha Invasion.
Background
[edit]Perrin Kurz rose to prominence on Terra Ultima as one of the world’s foremost scientific minds. Brilliant even by the standards of that technologically advanced reality, Kurz mastered numerous scientific disciplines ranging from nuclear engineering and particle physics to advanced weapons systems and cybernetic integration.
Unfortunately, his genius was matched by overwhelming arrogance and a belief that superior intellect entitled him to rule.
Adopting the identity of Doctor Dominion, Kurz transformed himself into a global menace through the creation of devastating weapons technologies and advanced battlesuits that allowed him to challenge entire armies. His campaigns against Terra Ultima’s governments and heroes eventually brought him into direct conflict with the Alpha Legion, the premier superhuman defenders of that world.
Terra Ultima
[edit]The final years of Terra Ultima were marked by escalating catastrophe, war, and dimensional instability. Doctor Dominion played a major role in many of these conflicts, sometimes as instigator and sometimes as opportunistic manipulator. Though never fully trusted by anyone, he proved too dangerous to ignore and too brilliant to dismiss.
When Terra Ultima was ultimately destroyed during the events leading to the Alpha Invasion, Dominion somehow survived the collapse of his universe. Following the displaced members of the Alpha Legion across dimensional barriers, he arrived on Earth seeking both survival and opportunity.
Unlike many refugees from Terra Ultima, Dominion viewed Earth not as sanctuary, but as territory.
The Alpha Invasion
[edit]Doctor Dominion became one of the central threats during the Alpha Invasion, using his advanced technology and strategic brilliance to wage war against Earth’s defenders. His knowledge of alternate-dimensional science and nuclear force manipulation made him extraordinarily dangerous even among superhuman adversaries.
The invasion ultimately ended in disaster for the surviving forces from Terra Ultima. During the final stages of the conflict, Doctor Dominion was apparently killed, though the exact circumstances remain unclear and no conclusive physical evidence was ever recovered.
Given his history, many heroes remain skeptical that he is truly dead.
CounterStrike
[edit]Doctor Dominion was the biological father of the heroine CounterStrike, though the relationship between the two was strained and complicated. CounterStrike openly rejected her father’s ideology and methods, becoming one of the strongest living reminders that brilliance and morality are not the same thing.
Their encounters were often deeply personal as well as physically destructive.
