Orochi is the covert identity of Miyamoto Ozawa, the last surviving heir of the infamous Mitsugatana ninja clan and one of the deadliest martial artists and infiltrators in the modern world. Once a feared operative of the Eight-Headed Shadow, Orochi became the bitter lifelong enemy of Avenger before eventually finding an uneasy second life as part of the black-operations team Squad 13.
Cold, disciplined, and relentlessly intelligent, Orochi represents the old hidden world of assassins and shadow wars surviving beneath the modern superhero age.
Background
[edit]Miyamoto Ozawa was raised in a secretive ninja clan, an ancient lineage whose history stretched back centuries into espionage, assassination, sabotage, and covert political warfare. Raised from childhood under severe discipline, Ozawa excelled in every aspect of the clan’s brutal training regimen. He took the professional name Orochi (dragon).
Unlike many students, however, Ozawa never viewed himself merely as a servant of the clan.
He believed he was destined to rule it.
Gifted, ambitious, and convinced of his own superiority, Ozawa expected to inherit leadership of the Eight-Headed Shadow and restore its influence in the modern world. His confidence and talent earned him admiration, fear, and resentment in equal measure.
Then came Avenger.
Rivalry With Avenger

Ozawa’s ambitions collapsed after Avenger exposed and disrupted key operations connected to the the Eight-Headed Shadow. The disgrace destroyed Ozawa’s standing within the hidden ninja world and cost him the leadership position he believed rightfully his.
Humiliated and consumed by hatred, he adopted the name Orochi and swore vengeance.
For years, Orochi and Avenger fought a private war across cities, nations, and hidden strongholds. Their battles became legendary within covert circles, involving assassinations, infiltration missions, stolen secrets, and bloody confrontations between rival ninja factions.
Unlike many superhero rivalries, theirs was intensely personal.
To Orochi, Avenger was not simply an enemy.
He was the man who stole his future.
Squad 13
[edit]Eventually captured after years of criminal activity, Orochi faced permanent imprisonment. Instead, he was recruited into Squad 13, a government-controlled black-operations unit composed of dangerous former super-criminals assigned to covert missions too morally questionable or politically dangerous for conventional heroes.
Within the team, Orochi operated alongside figures such as Striker and Deadeye, applying his lethal skills in service of missions that officially did not exist.
Though many officials distrusted him, Orochi’s effectiveness quickly became undeniable.
Whether he truly changed—or simply adapted to survive—remains uncertain.

Personality
[edit]Orochi is calm, calculating, proud, and emotionally guarded. He speaks little, wastes no movement, and rarely reveals his true thoughts. Years of defeat and survival have stripped away much of his youthful arrogance, replacing it with colder patience and hard-earned realism.
Yet beneath the discipline remains a man haunted by lost status, wounded pride, and a lingering obsession with proving himself superior to the rival who disgraced him.
He no longer dreams of ruling the shadows.
But he still intends to survive them.
Legacy
[edit]Orochi became one of the defining ninja figures of the modern superhero era, bridging the gap between traditional covert mystique and modern black-operations warfare. His rivalry with Avenger remains one of the great personal feuds of the age, while his later service in Squad 13 blurred the line between villain, operative, and reluctant antihero.
Heroes distrust him.
Criminals fear him.
And somewhere in the shadows, Orochi is still watching.
