Bane

Bane is a powerful demonic entity who once walked the Earth under the identity of Dorian Wheeler, a wealthy and cultured figure who concealed his true nature behind charm and refinement. A former demon lord exiled during an infernal conflict, Bane spent more than a century among humanity before ultimately returning to Hell.

Origin

[edit]

During the 19th century, a war between rival demonic factions resulted in Bane’s exile from Hell. Cast out into the mortal world, he was stripped of his position but not of his power.

Rather than rage against his exile, Bane adapted.

He assumed the identity of Dorian Wheeler, presenting himself as a man of immense wealth, sophistication, and taste. Over time, he established a quiet existence among human society, using his resources and influence to indulge in a life of decadence and pleasure.

Life On Earth

[edit]

For over a century, Wheeler moved through elite circles, cultivating an image of refinement while concealing his true nature. His long perspective and supernatural abilities allowed him to navigate human society with ease.

Eventually, he settled in Southern California, where his activities drew the attention of Watchstar West. During this period, he became romantically involved with Jade, an interaction that revealed a more complex side of his personality.

Despite his hedonistic lifestyle, Bane’s time on Earth was not without consequence. His presence carried the weight of his origin, and the conflict from which he had been exiled remained unresolved.

Exorcism

[edit]

In a rare and unexpected turn, Bane chose to end his exile. At his own request, he sought out Hex to perform an exorcism, severing his connection to the mortal identity of Dorian Wheeler.

The ritual returned him to Hell—and to the ongoing war he had once fled.

Whether this decision was driven by honor, necessity, or calculation remains unclear.

Powers

[edit]

As a demon lord, Bane possessed vast supernatural abilities.

  • Demonic Command – Authority over lesser demonic entities
  • Near Invulnerability – Highly resistant to physical and magical harm
  • Reality Manipulation – Capable of mimicking a wide range of superhuman abilities
  • Arcane Mastery – Extensive control over magical forces

His powers made him one of the most formidable entities to walk the Earth during his exile.

Skills

[edit]

Bane combined supernatural power with cultivated intellect.

  • Expert in magic and occult knowledge
  • Fluent in all known human and demonic languages
  • Skilled manipulator and social operator
  • Highly educated and culturally refined

His ability to move seamlessly between worlds—both social and supernatural—was one of his greatest strengths.

Technology

[edit]

Bane relied primarily on his innate and magical abilities rather than conventional technology.

  • Occult artifacts and enchanted objects
  • Ritual implements
  • Wealth and resources acquired through his human identity

His true power required no machinery.

Personality

[edit]

Bane is sophisticated, patient, and deeply self-assured. He embodies the archetype of the cultured devil—polite, articulate, and quietly dangerous.

He is not driven by chaos or impulse, but by long-term perspective. Even his indulgences appear measured, as though they serve a broader understanding of existence.

His decision to return to Hell suggests a being who values purpose as much as pleasure, though what that purpose entails is known only to him.

Legacy

[edit]

Bane’s time on Earth left a subtle but lasting mark. Unlike many villains, he did not seek conquest or destruction on a grand scale. Instead, he existed as a presence—an observer, participant, and occasional manipulator of events.

His return to Hell closes one chapter, but not the story.

Somewhere beyond the mortal world, the war continues.

And Bane has taken his place in it once more.
