Banzai is the street-forged, razor-fast martial artist Martin Swoop, a former teen hero turned hardened combatant and current member of the Corsairs. Equal parts disciplined fighter and irreverent provocateur, Banzai is known for his skill with a blade—and his talent for getting under people’s skin.
Origin
[edit]Martin Swoop grew up with little—except drive.
Raised in a poor neighborhood, he found purpose in martial arts, training relentlessly to sharpen both body and will. He formed a close bond with his best friend, Harry Piffle, often acting as his protector in a world that offered neither of them much mercy.
At Nathaniel Nova High School, Swoop’s life changed when he became involved with the Supernova Squadron, a teenage super-team formed from the school’s most gifted and unusual students. Under the name Banzai, he quickly proved himself a core member—fast, fearless, and always ready for a fight.
Fall And Return
[edit]Banzai’s path was never smooth.
After his time with the Supernova Squadron, Martin’s life took a darker turn, culminating in a stint in prison. The exact circumstances remain unclear, but the experience hardened him, reshaping both his outlook and his methods.
He did not stay down for long.
Recognizing his potential, Enforcer recruited him into the Corsairs, a more dangerous and morally flexible team than anything he had known before. With them, Banzai found a new arena—one where his edge, attitude, and willingness to push limits were not liabilities, but assets.
