Cherry Bomb is one of the most dangerous freelance operatives in the modern criminal underworld: a hard-drinking, thrill-seeking mercenary whose love of destruction is matched only by her appetite for money. Loud, charismatic, and catastrophically reckless, Cherry Bomb has sold her services to terrorists, rogue nations, criminal syndicates, supervillains, and occasionally even legitimate governments willing to overlook her methods.
She is not driven by ideology, revenge, or conquest. She simply enjoys chaos.
And she charges accordingly.
Origin
[edit]Cassidy Kane grew up in the industrial ruins of South Boston, the daughter of a dockworker and a bar singer. Brilliant but uncontrollable, she drifted through juvenile detention centers, biker gangs, underground fight circuits, and military schools before eventually enlisting in the Army under a forged identity.
There, she discovered her true talent.
Explosives.
Kane displayed an almost supernatural intuition for demolitions, breaching, and sabotage. She could reduce armored bunkers to rubble with improvised charges made from hardware store chemicals and scrap electronics. Unfortunately, she also proved impossible to discipline. She disobeyed orders constantly, stole military equipment, organized black-market side deals, and once destroyed an entire training range after losing a bet.
After an incident in which an unauthorized explosives test leveled part of a classified facility in Nevada, Kane vanished before she could be court-martialed.
Within a year, the underworld knew her by another name:
Cherry Bomb.
Appearance and Personality
[edit]Cherry Bomb is impossible to ignore. She favors loud outfits, mirrored sunglasses, fingerless gloves, and brightly colored punk-inspired clothing often stained with grease or explosive residue. Her platinum blonde hair changes styles constantly, though she usually wears it wild and partially shaved on one side.
She treats violence with alarming casualness, laughing during firefights and openly flirting with enemies in the middle of combat. She is sarcastic, impulsive, thrill-addicted, and infuriatingly fearless.
Unlike many professional killers, Cherry Bomb genuinely enjoys what she does.
She is also far smarter than she pretends to be.
Behind the swagger lies a highly skilled tactician capable of orchestrating large-scale acts of sabotage, infiltration, and urban destruction with military precision. She carefully cultivates the image of an unstable party girl because enemies consistently underestimate her.
Usually right before something explodes.
Abilities

[edit]Cherry Bomb is considered one of the greatest explosives specialists on Earth-11717. She possesses expert-level knowledge of military ordnance, shaped charges, fuel-air devices, plastique, electronic detonators, and improvised explosives.
She can weaponize almost anything.
Combat Training
[edit]Though not superhuman, Cherry Bomb is a highly dangerous combatant trained in military close-quarters combat, small arms, knife fighting, and guerrilla tactics.
She prefers speed, mobility, and overwhelming firepower over prolonged fights.
Tactical Sabotage
[edit]Cherry Bomb specializes in infrastructure attacks, armored vehicle kills, prison breaks, extraction missions, and destabilization operations. PHASE II analysts consider her one of the world's premier asymmetric warfare specialists.
Custom Equipment
[edit]Cherry Bomb carries an ever-changing arsenal that may include:

Enemies

[edit]Cherry Bomb and Cobra despise one another. Cobra considers her reckless and unprofessional, while Cherry Bomb openly mocks Cobra’s military discipline and self-seriousness.
The two have repeatedly clashed during mercenary operations, often causing collateral damage on a massive scale.
Rebel
[edit]Rebel views Cherry Bomb as the embodiment of selfish violence: someone who treats human lives as disposable entertainment. Cherry Bomb, meanwhile, delights in provoking him, referring to him as “Captain America’s drunk cousin.”
Despite her mockery, she avoids direct fights with Rebel whenever possible.
Kodiak
[edit]Cherry Bomb has crossed paths with Kodiak numerous times during West Coast operations involving smuggling rings, armored thefts, and supervillain contracts. Kodiak’s relentless pursuit and refusal to quit have made him one of the few heroes she genuinely finds intimidating.
She refers to him simply as “the bear.”
Reputation
[edit]Cherry Bomb occupies an unusual place within the criminal world. Even hardened supervillains often find her unpredictable and dangerous to work with. She has betrayed employers, escalated operations beyond agreed limits, and caused destruction far beyond mission parameters simply because she found it amusing.
Yet she continues to find work because she delivers results.
When a client absolutely needs something destroyed, stolen, or blown sky-high, there are few names more feared than Cherry Bomb.
