Magna was once the greatest hero of an advanced peaceful dimension destroyed by the interdimensional cosmic entity known as the Terror. After dying in battle against the invader, she was resurrected and transformed into one of the Terror’s heralds, joining the dreaded Stormriders.
Unlike some servants of the Terror who joined through fear or corruption, Magna ultimately chose to serve willingly.
That choice made her far more frightening.
Hero Of A Lost World
[edit]Long before her transformation, Magna was celebrated as the foremost defender of a highly advanced civilization existing in another dimension beyond conventional spacetime. Her people had evolved beyond warfare and scarcity, building a peaceful society centered on knowledge, art, and scientific mastery.
Within that civilization, Magna stood apart.
Gifted with immense cosmic powers and driven by an unusually fierce protective instinct, she became both champion and symbol of her world. While her people moved beyond violence culturally, Magna remained willing to fight when necessary.
That willingness was tested when the Terror arrived.
The Fall
[edit]The Terror’s assault devastated Magna’s dimension. Entire worlds collapsed as the interdimensional entity consumed civilizations and rewrote reality itself. While many fled or surrendered, Magna resisted with unmatched determination, organizing desperate defenses against a force that could barely be understood, much less defeated.
Her final battle became legend among surviving dimensional refugees.
Magna fought the Terror directly and was ultimately killed defending the remnants of her civilization.
But death did not end her story.
Rebirth
[edit]Intrigued by Magna’s courage, ferocity, and refusal to surrender, the Terror chose not to erase her entirely. Instead, it reconstructed her as one of its heralds, reshaping her body and mind while preserving much of the warrior spirit that had impressed it.
The result was terrifying.
Unlike broken servants enslaved against their will, Magna eventually embraced her rebirth. Whether this was due to psychological alteration, cosmic revelation, or despair over the destruction of her world remains uncertain.
What is known is that Magna joined the Stormriders willingly afterward, becoming one of the Terror’s most loyal and relentless agents.
The Stormriders
[edit]As a member of the Stormriders, Magna traveled across dimensions alongside beings such as General Bane, Goblin, and Khaos, helping prepare worlds for the Terror’s arrival.
Among the group, Magna often served as frontline assault force and cosmic enforcer. Her immense energy powers and utter fearlessness made her devastating in open battle.
Heroes who encountered her often described her as tragic as much as terrifying — a fallen champion who still carried the bearing of a protector while committing atrocities in the name of annihilation.
Powers

Personality
[edit]Magna is disciplined, intense, and strangely noble despite her allegiance to cosmic destruction. Unlike sadistic villains who revel in cruelty, Magna often carries herself like a warrior fulfilling what she believes to be an unavoidable cosmic truth.
Fragments of her former heroism still appear at times.
She respects courage in opponents.
She despises cowardice.
And she occasionally shows mercy in ways other Stormriders never would.
These remnants only deepen the tragedy of what she became.
Many who knew her story believe some part of the original Magna still survives beneath the Terror’s influence, though whether redemption is possible remains uncertain.
Legacy
[edit]Magna became one of the most iconic members of the Stormriders and one of the great tragic cosmic villains of the Crucible Universe. Her story embodies one of the setting’s recurring themes:
that even the noblest heroes can fall when confronted with forces vast enough to break worlds.
Because Magna did not begin as a destroyer.
She began as a savior.
And perhaps that is why the Terror wanted her so badly.
