Manna is the warrior identity of Heaven Lee Fields, a mystic martial artist and agent of celestial forces. Once an unassuming girl from the American South, she was transformed into a champion of the Sisterhood of the White Flame and now serves as a member of Knight/Watch.
Origin
[edit]Heaven Lee Fields grew up in poverty in the American South, overlooked and underestimated. By her own account, she was plain, awkward, and invisible to the world around her.
That life ended one summer night.
Heaven was attacked by a demonic entity, an encounter she would not have survived if not for the intervention of a mysterious old woman. The stranger drove the entity away and revealed that Heaven’s life was not an accident—she had been marked for something greater.
The woman brought her to a remote monastery, where Heaven underwent years of rigorous training, physical transformation, and spiritual discipline. The process reshaped her body and mind, awakening latent potential and forging her into a warrior.
She took the name Manna.
Sisterhood Of The White Flame
[edit]Manna became a full member of the Sisterhood of the White Flame, an ancient order of female warriors dedicated to combating demonic and supernatural threats. Within the order, she mastered the control of her chi, or life force, and learned to channel it into both combat and spiritual techniques.
Her transformation was not merely physical. The Sisterhood instilled in her a sense of purpose, discipline, and connection to forces beyond the mortal world.
Watchstar West
[edit]Manna first entered the wider superhero community during a conflict between Watchstar West and the villain Apocalypse. Her skill and presence led to her temporary alliance with the team.
During this period, she was killed in battle by Azrael.
Her death did not last.
Resurrection
[edit]Through the rites and mysteries of the Sisterhood, Manna was restored to life. The process deepened her connection to the spiritual forces she serves, transforming her from a warrior trained to fight demons into something closer to an agent of celestial will.
Since her return, her presence carries a weight that even other mystics recognize.
Knight/Watch
[edit]Manna later joined Knight/Watch, where she serves as both a combatant and a specialist in supernatural threats. Her experience with demonic entities and her connection to higher forces make her an essential member of the team.
