Multivex is the operational identity of Khana Khux, a warrior of a species capable of manifesting alternate versions of themselves drawn from nearby parallel realities. A member of the Citadel, Multivex is regarded as one of the most tactically overwhelming combatants in known space.
Background
[edit]Khana Khux belongs to a rare and highly guarded species whose biology—or possibly quantum structure—allows them to summon parallel iterations of themselves from adjacent universes and temporarily stabilize them within local reality.
To outside observers, the effect resembles duplication.
It is not.
Each “duplicate” is a genuine alternate Khana Khux drawn from another branch of existence, complete with independent thought, memory, and experience. Together they function with extraordinary coordination, often behaving less like separate individuals than facets of a larger intelligence.
This ability made Khana’s people a target.
The Karnak Interest
[edit]At one point, the Karnak Empire attempted to seize and weaponize the duplication abilities of Khana’s species in order to exponentially expand its military forces. The effort ultimately failed, though not before devastating portions of her homeworld and scattering many of her people.
Khana survived and eventually joined the Citadel, bringing her formidable abilities to one of the galaxy’s foremost peacekeeping organizations.
Powers
[edit]Multivex possesses complete mastery over her species’ dimensional replication ability.
- Parallel Duplication – Summons alternate versions of herself from nearby realities
- Mass Replication – Can manifest several hundred active duplicates at maximum extension

Although devastating in combat, the process places enormous emotional and psychological strain upon her.
The Cost
[edit]The destruction of one of Multivex’s duplicates is not emotionally abstract to her.
Each duplicate is, in every meaningful sense, herself.
When one dies, Khana experiences the loss directly: memories vanish, emotional echoes reverberate through the surviving selves, and psychological trauma accumulates over time. Prolonged combat involving large-scale casualties among her duplicates can leave her physically and emotionally shattered.
For this reason, despite her fearsome reputation, Multivex does not treat battle casually.

The opposite is true.
Every loss matters to her personally.
This gives Multivex an unusual duality: overwhelming force paired with profound empathy for suffering and death.
Reputation
[edit]Across Citadel space, Multivex is regarded as one of the most dangerous single operatives in existence. Entire military units have broken against her duplication assaults, overwhelmed by what appears to be an endlessly multiplying enemy.
Those who know her personally tend to remember something else:
The exhaustion in her eyes afterward.
Legacy
[edit]Multivex embodies one of the strangest truths of the multiverse: identity is not singular. She exists as many selves at once, each both individual and collective, warrior and casualty.
To fight beside her is to fight beside an army.
To be her is to feel every loss that army suffers.
