Rock n' Roll is a long-running institution of teen supervillainy associated with Nathaniel Nova High School in Pacific City. Though the team has undergone numerous revivals, reboots, and new incarnations over the years, the lineup most closely associated with the group remains the original Bronze Age roster from the first series.
That original incarnation of Rock n' Roll was formed by the young scientific genius Computron, who gathered together a group of gifted but unstable teenage parahumans and aspiring criminals. Combining adolescent recklessness with dangerous powers and advanced technology, the team rapidly became a serious threat not only to the school itself, but to all of Pacific City.
Rock n' Roll committed a series of escalating crimes before finally being opposed by the student heroes of Supernova Squadron. Their battles became legendary among students and faculty alike, helping define an entire era of youth-oriented superhero activity during the Bronze Age.
Unlike many youthful villain teams, Rock n' Roll did not simply fade away after graduation. Many of its original members matured into full-fledged adult supervillains, with several becoming major threats in their own right. Others disappeared into prison systems, underground criminal networks, or mysterious circumstances.
Although the original lineup no longer operates together, the name Rock n' Roll persists as a recurring underground organization within the school. Administrators have repeatedly attempted to stamp it out, often with assistance from successive generations of Supernova Squadron, but the group inevitably re-emerges in new forms every few years.
Classic Bronze Age Lineup

Computron
Casey Loomis was a teenage scientific prodigy and inventor who organized the original Rock n' Roll lineup. Loomis later evolved into the adult supervillain known as the Answer.
Slingshot
Danny Hayes was a genius specializing in advanced ranged weapons systems and combat engineering.
White Witch
Aggie Payne was a young practitioner of the occult arts whose mystical abilities made her one of the team’s most dangerous members.
Razorback
Billy Joe Bougainvillea possessed the ability to grow stronger and more destructive as his temper escalated.
Cheetah
Lester Lincoln was a fast, powerful, and highly capable fighter whose enhanced agility and reflexes made him a formidable combatant.
Lollipop
Lucy Devereaux possessed potent mind-control abilities and frequently manipulated both allies and enemies alike.
Quark
Clyde Binion could channel and direct dangerous nuclear energies, making him one of the team’s most destructive members.
Bandit
Connor McBride possessed superhuman speed and served as the team’s scout, courier, and getaway specialist.
Legacy
[edit]The original Bronze Age incarnation of Rock n' Roll remains infamous among both heroes and villains. Many later teen villain groups consciously modeled themselves after the team’s rebellious style, internal chaos, and anti-authoritarian attitude.
To this day, the name "Rock n' Roll" continues to carry a strange mixture of nostalgia, fear, and notoriety within Pacific City’s superhuman community.
