SHOC (S'Taa Hunting Orbital Commando) is the operational designation of an elite Karnak-engineered soldier stranded on Earth during the Hero Wars. Once a weapon forged for interstellar conflict, SHOC has since become a steadfast member of Watchstar, redefining his purpose through loyalty, camaraderie, and a growing understanding of the world he now defends.

Background

SHOC 878-901 was not born a soldier in the conventional sense. His people were originally a peaceful, bovine-descended species whose culture emphasized stability and communal life. That existence was irrevocably altered by the intervention of the Karnak Empire, which transformed members of the species into highly specialized warriors through advanced genetic and technological augmentation.

Designated as part of the S'Taa Hunting Orbital Commandos, SHOC was engineered for combat in extreme environments, particularly against the forces of the S'Taa. His training emphasized endurance, discipline, and the ability to operate independently in hostile conditions, often far from support.

He was not designed to question his role.

Only to fulfill it.

During the events known as the Hero Wars, SHOC became stranded on Earth, separated from the command structures that had defined his existence. Without orders or a clear path of return, he was forced to adapt to a world that operated according to entirely different assumptions.

His initial interactions with Earth’s heroes were cautious, shaped by training that emphasized threat assessment and mission clarity. Over time, however, those interactions evolved into alliances, and eventually into something more personal.

Watchstar

SHOC found a place within Watchstar, where he transitioned from isolated operative to team member. The shift required more than tactical adjustment; it demanded an understanding of trust, cooperation, and the informal bonds that define the team.

Isola Incident
