Sin Tzu is a master martial artist and elite operative associated with Nexus, serving as the personal guard and closest ally of the sorcerer Lotus. Though lacking superhuman powers, her mastery of combat and discipline allows her to stand alongside beings of immense mystical and cosmic ability.
Background
[edit]Sin Tzu was born in Xi’an into a minor martial family whose traditions emphasized discipline, restraint, and service over recognition. From an early age, she was immersed in the study of Qiang Fa, a brutally efficient system of combat designed not for sport or ceremony, but for survival in lethal conditions.
Her training was uncompromising. Every movement was refined for purpose, every technique stripped of excess. By the time she reached adulthood, she had surpassed her peers not through raw talent alone, but through an absolute commitment to precision and control.
The world she entered, however, had little use for such traditions.
Drawn into the margins of modern society, she became entangled in criminal networks, where skill could be exploited but rarely respected. Eventually, she encountered adversaries beyond even her considerable abilities—Triad enforcers who left her critically injured in a Shanghai alley.
She would have died there.
Lotus
[edit]Her survival came through the intervention of Lotus, whose mastery of arcane forces allowed him to restore her life through means that were neither simple nor entirely understood. When she awoke, she found herself in his care, her existence now tied to an act she could neither ignore nor dismiss.
