Star Flight began as an exploratory offshoot of Watchstar, formed after Gauntlet discovered a massive disturbance in the hyperdimensional field inside the Probability Gate in the Watchstar laboratory. Concerned that the disturbance might threaten Earth, Gauntlet assembled a small team to investigate.
Calling themselves Star Flight, Gauntlet, Inferno, and Sentinel entered the Gate and began exploring realities beyond Earth’s known universe. Their journey led them to the interdimensional empire known as the Hundred Worlds, a vast realm of alternate worlds, strange civilizations, and ancient political rivalries.
The three heroes quickly ingratiated themselves with Empress Xandarra, ruler of the Hundred Worlds. Joined by Wildcat, captain of the Empress’ guard, they became adventurers, envoys, and defenders within the interdimensional empire. During this period, Gauntlet was named a Knight of the Hundred Worlds and received nanotech enhancements known as Nanocore, transforming him into a true superhuman.
A civil war eventually erupted within the Hundred Worlds. The Empress Xandarra was deposed by cruel rebels and forced into exile. Star Flight pledged to one day return her to her throne, escaping the empire alongside Xandarra aboard the stolen interdimensional cruiser Retribution.
The massive disturbance that first drew the team into the Probability Gate was ultimately revealed to be the godlike being known as the Terror, moving toward Earth. Star Flight was unable to stop or even meaningfully affect the Terror, but they returned to Earth in time to assist the rest of Watchstar in the battle against it.
Afterward, the team continued to make further explorations into distant dimensions. Though no longer a standing team in the ordinary sense, Star Flight still bands together from time to time when interdimensional threats arise.

The Gauntlet
Founder of Star Flight and Knight of the Hundred Worlds. Gauntlet’s Nanocore enhancements transformed him into a true superhuman during his service to Empress Xandarra.
Inferno
A powerful Watchstar hero and founding member of Star Flight, Inferno joined Gauntlet’s expedition through the Probability Gate into the Hundred Worlds.
Sentinel
A founding member of Star Flight who helped explore the realms beyond the Probability Gate and confront the threat of the Terror.
Wildcat
Captain of Empress Xandarra’s guard and a warrior of the Hundred Worlds, Wildcat joined Star Flight during their adventures across the interdimensional empire.
Xandarra
The deposed Empress of the Hundred Worlds. After her exile, she escaped with Star Flight aboard the Retribution and became central to the team’s continuing mission.
Thung
A powerful ally associated with Star Flight’s later adventures across more distant dimensions.
Legacy
[edit]Star Flight occupies a unusual place in Watchstar history. It began as a small exploratory mission, became a band of interdimensional adventurers, and ultimately returned to Earth bearing warnings of the Terror.
The team’s adventures opened Watchstar’s world to the politics of the Hundred Worlds and established Gauntlet’s long-standing connection to Xandarra, the Retribution, and the wider multiverse.
