The Avant Guard is the official super-team formed from members of the student body of Pacific Academy, a private school for young superhumans located near Seattle, Washington. The team represents some of the academy’s most talented students, combining advanced education with practical field training in superheroics.
Though still teenagers, the members of Avant Guard have already established themselves as legitimate heroes throughout the Pacific Northwest. Under the supervision of the academy’s faculty, the team has confronted dangerous superhuman threats including Doctor Eric Faust and the notorious biker gang known as the Hellrazers, preventing a catastrophic attack that could have devastated much of Seattle.
Unlike many adult superhero organizations, Avant Guard balances traditional heroics with the pressures of school life, friendships, rivalries, and the challenge of learning to control emerging powers. The team’s adventures are often as much about personal growth and identity as they are about defeating villains.
The public generally views the team with admiration and curiosity, though critics sometimes question the wisdom of allowing teenagers to participate in dangerous superhuman conflicts.

Daniel Fujiko is a teleporter able to instantly traverse short and medium distances.
Legacy
[edit]Avant Guard represents the continuing tradition of young heroes carrying the ideals of superheroism into a new generation. Though still inexperienced compared to legendary teams such as Watchstar or the Liberators, the team has already demonstrated remarkable courage and potential.
Faculty members at Pacific Academy believe several members of Avant Guard may one day become among the world’s greatest heroes.
Occasionally, other students from the academy join the team during major crises or field operations, making Avant Guard both a superhero team and a proving ground for the next generation of superhumans.
